A&M-Central Texas online business program ranked #59 best program

KILLEEN, Texas — The Texas A&M University-Central Texas College of Business Administration’s undergraduate online business program has been ranked #59 out of 1,680 of the best online programs by the U.S. News & World Report, according to a release from the school.

In 2024, the U.S. News & World Report Study of Best Online Programs assessed 1,752 undergraduate online business programs, said A&M-Central Texas, and out of those, 1,680 programs were ranked.

Out of all the business programs ranked, A&M-Central Texas’ earned the #59 spot, making a significant leap from its already impressive #98 place ranking in 2023.

Lucas Loafman, J.D., interim dean of the College of Business Administration, said that the most important thing about the results is that they are an external validation of a program’s academic quality.

“There is a lot of competition for enrollment and many great programs, so this is a testament to quality of instruction and the personalized experience our faculty ensure for each student,” Loafman said. “Of course, it is affirming when recognition like this happens, and the truth is that our faculty work have been a part of building and innovating in their respective areas in business for the last 15 years, so it is wonderful to see all that work yield such a prestigious result.”

“Our faculty love teaching, and they are passionate advocates and scholars in their disciplines,” Loafman added. “And there is an equal amount of passion in each of them when they see their students embrace what they are learning. The rankings are a great affirmation of all of that.”

A&M-Central Texas is approaching its 15-year anniversary. The university says its mission is to make transferring “as convenient and simple as possible”, encouraging students with college credits to transfer in and select one of its 30 undergraduate programs and 19 graduate programs, many of which are offered online.
